Here a guided tour is essential, otherwise it would be just a normal walk in a beautiful and colorful park.
When you are in Barcelona, do not miss Guell Park: it will surprise you because it is unique. This architectural wonder, created in the middle of nature by Gaudi, was commissioned by Count Guell, who wanted it as an elegant estate.
Today it is a public park and is the heritage of the city. It has also been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
You should start your visit by entering the grand staircase, dominated by a dragon decorated with ceramic tiles, typical of the Catalan style called "trencadìs". This dragon is one of the typical images of Barcelona.
Guell Park is organized around a large central square supported by 86 Doric columns and bordered by a winding bench covered with trencadìs.
