Amsterdam GVB travelcard

Free travel on Amsterdam's public transport: bus, streetcar and metro, excluding boats and train to/from the airport.
If you would also like to have travel to/from the airport included look:

Please note that this E-ticket must be printed on A4 size paper for good readability of the QR-Code

1. You will receive your ticket via email within 2 business days
2. Open the email and print the ticket
3. Take it with you, this will be your ticket to travel

The Card is ready for use.

By bus or tram

A magnetic reader is located next to the driver. Hold your Card in front of the reader, you will hear a beep and see a green light. This means that check-in is successful and you can take a seat for your journey. Check-out works in the same way, the magnetic reader is located near the exit doors.

In the underground

The magnetic reader is located on the right-hand side of the access doors. For line 51, the readers are on the metro stop platforms. Hold your Card in front of the reader. The gate opens and you hear a beep and a green light. You can now enter. You do the same when exiting the metro.

The Amsterdam GVB travelcard is valid for the number of consecutive days purchased.

For example, if you purchase a three-day travel card and use it for the first time on Thursday, the card will be valid from 12:00 a.m. on Thursday and expire at 11:59 p.m. on Saturday.

Cancellation up to 3 days prior to the departure date without penalty.
